Jeff says:

Can't post tonight. We're really sorry. Today was a good but busy day. We're just in a tizzy to get packed up and out the door in 30 minutes...and we are ready.

Alex is fussy, and taking all our attention, of course.

We have no photos for today...yet. Please hang in tight and we will double-post tomorrow! We promise!

Please pray for the all-nighter flight, Alex' first time on a plane. He's fussy, but we leave at his bedtime, so this may work to our benefit.

Godspeed and happy landing!

The picture of Alex on the "Welcome" screen is too much. I want to simply grab him and plant a dozen kisses all over that gorgeous face, then tickle his feet untill he pees!

Just a thought: This lucky little dude has two, count 'em, 1 - 2, birthdays! One in the winter (Nov. or Dec. 2003??) and Aug. 31, 2004! The first is to celebrate Alexsandr of Kazakhstan and one to celebrate Alexander Jeffery Holton, a whole new entity.

You are all going to have a happy life, I simply know it!

Since there were no pictures today, I had to have some visual stimulation so I reviewed past ones. Fun. I now have two more favorites. Anyone reading this should feel free to vote. I get a severe case of the warm fuzzies back on Aug. 15th looking at numbers 17 and 20. No. 17 shows that dads are for all the good fun and games and perhaps a little risk taking. No. 20 shows that moms are for warmth, security, and love.

You know what else is nice? Just watching babies sleep! They are so peaceful ... and vulnerable and harbor all that potential in such a small and adorable package. It makes one feel like the great protector of the future, the king of the mountain, the great Kahuna, and all that.

For those who may be annoyed by my multiple posts, I apologize, but it something else comes up that I have to get off my chest, I'll be back again. Sorry 'bout that.

Love

Unka Dan,

I am sooooo going to miss your comments,

My husband and I are friends of Connie and Fawaz's but your comments are the best.

Dina and Jeff,

We all understand how busy you are, did you take Alex to the eating places today or did you stay in the apartment?

Have a safe trip, take pictures of his first reaction on takeoff (probably not giggles) but he is in great hands.

We also want to hear about his first night in the apartment with you.

See ~ that's why parents need grandparents and aunts and uncles and such ~ so they can get work done! Having a wonderful time? Wish I were there?

Love you. Sleep tight, little Alex.

Dear Dina, Jeff & Alex,
Congratulations once again. What a beautiful family you three make. I hope the flight is going/went well. I cannot imagine there could be a baby more anticipated than Alex. Yes, we all want to hold him and smell him and make him laugh. We love you all.
Love, Beth
